Chancellor Johnathan Bennett was born on 16th April, 1993. He is known professionally as Chance the Rapper who is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor from the West Chatham neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. He earned the love and respect of Kanye West and Coloring Book. His music is characterized by unconventional, bohemian approach which led the wave of independent artists garnering national attention without a backing label. He used his expulsion from school to create his first mixtape, or album and achieved an international following by releasing his music for free online for fans to download – and they have, millions of times over since 2011.
Personal Life
Bennett lives in his hometown, Chicago. He has a younger brother who is called Taylor Bennett and he is also a rapper. Bennett studied in Jones College Prep High School where he was a member of the Jewish Student Union. He was not academic and did not get good grades and was suspended often during the high school time.
Career
Bennett appeared on American rapper Childish Gambino’s sixth mixtape, Royalty, on the track “They Don’t Like Me” in July 2012. In 2013, Bennett released his second mixtape, Acid Rap on DatPiff. Bennett performed at the Chicago music festival Lollapalooza in the same year. In March 2014, Bennett appeared in a shoppable online video for Dockers, promoting the brand’s spring line.
In 2015, Surf was released for free on the American iTunes store as an iTunes Exclusive. Bennett was a prominent figure on Kanye West’s album The Life of Pablo, co-writing and appearing on several tracks, namely “Ultralight Beam”, “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1”, “Famous”, “Feedback”, and “Waves” in 2016.

Bennett is a Christian and he mentioned a lot about Jesus Christ in many of his songs because he was raised as a Christian by his grandmother but later fell out of the faith.
Political Views
Bennett is an independent voter even though the fact that Bennett’s father worked for Barack Obama as a presidential appointee and as an aide. The family also let him vote for Democratic Party and he also has a history of supporting Democrats volunteering with Barack Obama’s reelection campaign, he is an independent voter that leans left.
Social Contributions
In 2017, Chance the Rapper received the 2017 BET Humanitarian Award. He donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools and also raised $2 million through his Social Works organization. He set up an outstanding role model and an inspiration to people who care about our next generation.”
Dating
Chance the Rapper and Kirsten have been in a long-term relationship since 2013. And Kirsten gave birth to their daughter in 2005. In May 2016, they had stopped living together.
